The girl Ashley in the book was very different and unique in a great way though. This book is very adventurous, cool, and vibrant. But I kind of felt bad for her that her dad was in jail and at the end of the book I was very cautious because her dad said to the TV he would see her soon. Now I’m hoping that means there’s going to be a next book so I can read it because I love this book! The Backyard Bugs and Buzzy Bees program is coming to the Main Library on Saturday, June 18th at 11am! Register for it  here . In the family tradition, boys shapeshift while girls do witchery. Aster is the main character in the story. Aster being a boy must do shapeshifting, but he wanted to learn witchery. He sneaked in on his sister’s lessons and learned witchery. Mikaski is his family’s danger. The author takes you through a magical journey of how Aster defeated Mikaski by using witchery. The story has great messages about friendship, courage, and determination. This story is a graphic novel. Honestly, it is a bit hard to understand but my mother helped me. The book has great and realistic pictures that made me glued to the book. I learned that if you want to do something you have to face challenges and that anybody can do anything.
